Laura: Lustful Secrets Chapter 1 Remaster - an update!

Hi - here's an update on Laura: Lustful Secrets Chapter 1 Ren'Py remastered!

I've got a lot of the scenes for the first Chapter 1 remaster release now in place. The last few are coming together and then we'll be on to testing. I can't give a date yet, but it should be weeks rather than months.

Here's what I can tell you so far, along with a few never-before-seen sneak peeks!

1. The content is all 100% remastered and the quality is really high

No scene assets are being reused from the RPGM original Chapter 1, at all. Every scene is being remade, and it's been made with everything Dark has learned since starting his game. It's really top notch. Over 220 animations in this part alone! (and counting)

2. The progression is MUCH slower

By the end of the first section of the original game, Laura has jumped head first into her lustful adventures, indulging David and Joe. Dark told me he wishes the corruption and proclivities had been paced slower, and he's fixing it here. That doesn't mean there's no Laura fun - far from it! But the build up - often the best part - will now be more evenly paced.

3. There are many new scenes, and there's some really good stuff in there

Following on from that - that means there's new scenes that weren't in the old chapter 1. We get a Kato introduction, Zoe at college, the Reverend intro is very different (that's a great scene) and there's more stuff at home including an Ellen intro scene, and more of Sam being hilariously hapless.

4. Laura has a phone!

Which means there are now collectibles and relationship points to be had!

5. Ellen has had a makeover!

thank god, as the old Ellen would only be found attractive if you had a very... specific taste.

It's really interesting to view the old Chapter 1 alongside the remaster: the new one really is on a whole different level. BUT - and as a member exclusive - I'll be back on with part 2 of the RPGM -> Ren'Py port after we land the remastered chapter 1 part 1.

HOWEVER, I'm a bit stuck on how to do the soccer ball/drunk guy/dog "minigame" from Chapter 1 Ren'Py, this bit:

This is definitely being dropped/reworked for the remake, so I'm going to have to do something else for the port. Anyone got any ideas?
