[Summary] The end of 2023 and plans for 2024

Hi guys!

The year 2023 is coming to an end and in this post I'd like to summarize. It has been a very productive year. With your help I was able to implement a lot of new features in the game. So the first thing I want to do is to thank you for your support.   This has been a challenging year for me, so thank you. Thank you for being with me and helping me to develop my project. I am immensely grateful to you. Thank you.

The first thing I want to do is show you the new animations for tiers:

Summarize 2023:

• 25 new versions of Lust Hunter were released in 2023
• 275 new animations
• 9 new enemies
• 19 new NPCs (several genders)
• 2 new story NPCs + story update with Mirana for male and futa genders
• 2 new big locations
• 10 new bodymodification options
• 30 new outfits (121 new clothing)
• 8 new clothing in the Cloth store
• 34 new Items
• 21 new items in the Items store
• 26 new items in the Traveler store (it's new store on the global map)
• 30 new quests

• Ability to change the gender of enemies and NPCs

I've added a lot of new stuff so there's probably something I forgot to tell you about.

Thank you to everyone who plays my game. And to all those who help me to improve it, who tell me about the bugs found and play every version of the game.

News about story with NPCs:

Next year I'm going to add a lot of NPC stories. First of all I plan to finalize stories for all existing NPCs of other genders. These are the stories for Herbalica Flower futa and male, for Nun futa and male, for Slutty Katty futa and male and for Lumberjack futa and female. 

I'm currently working my way through the Gaffer Choo story. It's going to be very exciting. Just a little teaser.

And another story I'll be doing in 2024 is a story about Cunnin Grawl, in case you've forgotten I remind you it's a clothing merchant.

New locations:

There are plans to add at least 2 new locations. One of them is Jungle, the second one is Aquatic location. Parts of the Jungle were shown in the Herbalica Flower story. I plan to make a complete location, add new enemies, new objects and new ingredients for gatchering. In this location there will be flowers-NPCs that impregnate you.

The Aquatic location will be a series of islands between which you can explore. 

Random events at locations:

I want to add random events in locations. They will be activated randomly and there will be a limited number of them. It will be something like random events in the square in the village.

They will be different types of events, some of them will be something like a quest with a cart in the desert and goblins where you need to look for wheels. Others are like an encounter with a random unique NPC. Others as little stories. This will diversify the gameplay and introduce some kind of randomness.

New enemies:

New enemies will be added in 2024. Some you've already seen, they are jungle amazons from the Herbalica Flower story. The second enemy I want to add is some kind of sea enemy that will live in the water. I will add 3 genders of each new enemy.

In addition to the usual enemies that you can interact with I plan to add a lot of enemies like skeleton and mummy. That you will be able to fight.

Brothel improves:

There's an unused room left in the brothel upstairs - it's the glory hole room. I'll be adding a lot of new content with it next year. In addition, I want to finalize the interaction with whores, and make the interface more friendly, because many people now do not understand the principle of the brothel.

New Ren'py version:

If you're not interested in the technical part of the game, don't read this and move on to the next point. Lust Hunter is currently running on Renpy 7.4, which in turn is developed in Python 2. But there is a version of Renpy that is developed in Pyhton 3. Python 3 is several times faster than Pyhton 2. I have already ported Lust Hunter to the Renpy 8 version and noticed a performance boost. I played for a few hours and had almost no problems with the game slowing down. I hope this solves the performance issue. I plan to release Lust Hunter on the new version of Renpy for testing purposes.

Good and bad news for android users:

I have 2 pieces of news for Andoid users. I'll start with the good news. In 2024, the developer of Renpy promised to release a version that will bypass the 2gb limitation for Andoid. I'm really looking forward to this update, it will help merge the 3 versions for Andoid into one.

Now for the bad news. Until this update is released I will not be able to add new animations or content that takes up a lot of space for android. Alas, but games can't develop faster out of android limitations. But don't worry, new versions of the game with new content will be released at the same time as the main Win version. Also you can always use the Win version in android emulator.

I very, very much apologize for this decision, but, I have no other choice. Waiting for the new version of Renpy and hoping for the best.

Online updates:

Starting with version 0.9.9 in Win/Linux and Mac versions, online game updates will be available. Each time you start the game you will be checked for updates, and if a new version is available for you (depending on your tier level) you will be able to download it with just one button. And only the data that has changed. You no longer have to download 4gb of new data every time. 

Other:

I didn't write above about new content because I wanted to make a general point about that. I will be adding new animations, new items or new enemies, new npcs and other content every month. I plan to add at least 500 new animations in 2024, that's about 30-40 animations per month.

2 new games in 2024:

Lumberjack: Lust Hunter Stories

In 2023, I talked about a new game in this post. I ran into some development issues, so I decided to change the concept a bit. The game will have female, futa and male in any of the variations.

The game is in active development phase, I think I need another 3-4 months before the first version of the game is released.

The main feature of the game will be an animated combat system based on choices. In concept it looks good, when I'm ready to show it, I'll talk about it in a separate post.

Lust Hunter Stories

The second game isn't exactly a new game. It will be based on small stories with NPCs from the main Lust Hunter game. It will be a theater of sorts. For those players who like the VN part of the game. It will take about 2 months to develop, and pretty soon I'll be able to show it to you.
