Replacing the Ocean - You're missing reviews if you miss this one

What Now? What Now?

I do envy your ability to drive long miles with peace of mind that it’s less likely to have issues than many of the Fiskers, but, if it does that you not only have support, but a place to take it that will have factory trained technicians to fix it, there is certainly a real and tangible value in that level of peace of mind. Thanks for everything that you do with your channel, I’ve been watching since before my FOO was delivered and I’m happy that you didn’t walk away from your Fisker followers when you sold yours and moved to Honda!

100% correct. It sounds like you’ve had a good experience with your Ocean example. I’m very glad to hear this. This video was made for a viewer with dinged up credit from the Ocean debacle who needs to be able to drive 20,000 miles a year. The Ocean will always be special. It will also be impossible to put big miles on without the fear of major issues that could end its life forever. I have a Honda Prologue, and a lot of people ask me what it is, especially at dealerships and charging stations. Even at EV meetups. And I can drive it long distances without issues, and I know if it has one, the dealership will not only fix it under warranty, but give me a loaner in the interim. The next “Ocean” is the Aptera, and you can jump the reservation line right now with $10,000. The Ocean will forever be one of a kind: The good, and the bad.

So, I’m just over $100K into my FOO with Winter wheels and the stock I bought and lost, if I could replace it I would, but I can’t sell it for $15K, add in another $35K just to get something that’s not “special” the options you listed for about $50K are good and functional and from established manufacturers, and certainly a safe bet, but I don’t think any of them offer anything more, no cool technology, no amazing design, nothing that make people stop you and ask what is that and engage with you on the topic of EV ownership. If I had it to do over again, I would have invested that $100K into the Lucid Gravity, I just hope their backers keep them afloat! Until then, I’m going to love driving my FOO, wishing I’d sold my stock when Henrick did and keeping my fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong with it!
