Ch5 devblog 11/10/2024 (EPISODE MIKA NOW FREE)
Added 2024-11-10 12:14:53 +0000 UTCHappy Sunday! This week I've been working hard to complete all of Kaori's content. Must be a record of stuff done in one week. (12 dates, and 4 story scenes!).
Also finishing multiple sprites- Kaori's normal set, bikini set, as well as some extra characters.
I had to rewrite a lot of the drafting I did for her early in the ch5 dev cycle because of the daily serum shift.
Kaori gets more story scenes than any other girl because I wanted to introduce a rival. Someone to push her insecurity... someone who has bigger... assets, and a bigger following than her.
Kaori also struggles with being recognized!
Fame comes with haters and fans. Accusations of being fake etc. Let's see how she deals with it.
Meanwhile on the date side, the player helps her get out more often. To get away from her reclusive gamer lifestyle.
We learn more about her likes, dislikes, and generally learn more about her backstory.
Phew, that's a lot! Maybe I am sharing too much? But being transparent about what's being worked on is my pledge to you.
I also finished 3 additional characters - with their own set of sprites for a range of emotions.
Who are they? I won't tell. But I hope they get popular and get their own side stories once chapter 5 is out ;)
Nene, the girl in the middle has the most sprites of any character in the game. very expressive character.
Other news: Episode Mika is now free for everyone!
I decided to publish Mika's side story on itch free for the public! I think it's a great showcase of the quality of the game.

I made it free 2 days ago and already it has gotten 600 downloads! Wow! This is what gets me excited working on this project. Getting it out there and having people play it.
As you can see in the screenshot, I updated episode Mika slightly by adding in Yuka's new sprites. It also has a thorough spell-check thanks to the contributions of Beriya, one of our discord moderators. Beriya also did spell check for episode Lisa before it released so he deserves credit for helping me out.
Episode Mika also now has the latest version of the reaction icons (similar to episode Lisa).
It would mean the world for me if you could go over to itch and leave a comment! Let's get StrongGirls trending!

Expect more updates on Megumi side story next week.

I got eyes and a working mind, and it clear you're working hard on the game from the updates we're seeing. And it's absolutely fair that you can't promise a precise moment in time for the release, but the beta plan sounds like a good way to handle things.

I reinvested earnings to hire a babysitter so that I can get more hours in every day. I am also looking to outsource a few things (but no official confirmation on that yet). Chapter 5 is more than twice the size of the current main game release (chapter4) . Sorry if I can't make an absolute promise. But if I end up with a 80% finished product in December, I may launch a beta because I know everyone has been very patient with the development and deserve to play some of the stuff that's already there. My hope was that the side stories would allow monthly playable releases to keep everyone satisfied while the main game gets it's time to cook. Thank you for your patience and support. I always emphasize that it is completely valid to stop membership if the wait is too long, and then resub when you're ready to enjoy new releases π

So if you feel like it's not going well then I want to remind everyone how much there is in chapter 5. Multiple story scenes halloween event scene special serum scenes (18 scenes) 3 new teachers 12 dates for all girls + girl story scenes 6 vendors, 70+ gift items, numerous skill items New virgin route (skip dating manami, saya, yuka and get alternate scenes instead) All side stories so far as unlockables I am working to have a release ready before the end of 2024. I am doing my very best to make that a reality. I appreciate your patience! In terms of game size it's more than twice the size of the entire chapter4 content. Thank you so much for your patience and support. If the monthly side story releases is not enough then it is completely valid to unsub while waiting for the main game release and then resub to the patreon when you are ready to enjoy the new releases π
