Hi everyone! Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and for playtesting the current build!

First-off, we apologize for the failure of communication on our part.

EP2 saves are not compatible with the current build.

We should've given a better warning about how pre-beta saves would no-longer be fully compatible and would cause issues in Ep3.

This is due to new variables, and how choices are tracked in the code. Using an old save would "skip" the points where the new variables are assigned - for example who is your girlfriend in the stats page.

Additionally, there are a lot of changes made to the original content of Ep1 and 2 so we wanted you to play and experience this content as well.

We failed to make it clear that the beta needed a fresh start. For that, we are very sorry!

Second, there is a new system in place where the game automatically creates saves at certain points in the game. - The idea is that it will work like a chapter select - but still preserve your choices.

However, due to the way the engine handles saves, the new autosaves will start from save slot 1 and continue as you progress. This means that it will overwrite your manual saves if they happen to be in an assigned autosave slot.

It isn't obvious how the system works and some of you understandably want to do only manual saves.
