Episode 3 progress update 05/11/2023

Hey everyone!

This week I am happy to show off the improvements we have made on the gameplay loop.

In EP3 you will have the following gameplay loop:

Daytime/ after school: You can choose to hang out with Miyu, Saya, Manami, Yuka, Work part-time job (meet Haruka, the cafe girl)  or go shopping.

Choosing one, will play out that part of their story, then jump you in time to the evening.

Evening: You can hang out with Kaori (by playing MMO), Nurse Naomi, or Kasumi.

Then on preselected days there are forced story events that also advance time.

Occasionally, you won't be close enough with the girl to advance their story/relationship level, and instead you will get a 'generic date'. On these dates you can give them gifts to further gain relationship points.

Each girl gets 3 generic dates, and the one you get is randomized. Generic dates can also be sexual btw. Also there is a chance you run into other girls on the random dates.

In Episode 3 each girl gets 4 levels of relationship you can advance with them.

Safe to say, there is a ton of content. However, with that comes longer dev-time.

Until now I've told you that we will release early November. However It is impossible to put an exact estimate.

It is looking more likely that we will need to push release further back. Late November.

Why?

The scope of the game has been constantly evolving. This next release will be incredibly different from past releases. With the introduction of multiple girls, paths and a system for generic random dates and gift/skill mechanics, there are more nuanced choices for you, the player, to make.

The level of polish this game is getting is far beyond what I had envisioned even at the start of developing Episode 3 - so my estimates were completely off.

I understand if you wish to pause your membership and wait until the release. However your support is what keeps the project going, and has allowed me to bring in help for the development.

My promise to you is to always keep you updated on what is going on with the game, and work to keep you satisfied as a patron.

Super Tiers and above will continue to get polls and Ultra will continue to get behind the scenes content and unused art.
