This is a fun comparison between coloring everything the same flats (because it’s easier) and working that composition! Take background elements, lighten them, desaturate them, and blur them out of focus just a little. Draws the attention to the main action, a clean silhouette, a firmer understanding on what we should be looking at. Given how specific a cross section panel has to be, it’s gotta be clear what’s going on.
Stars above, I love this part. Not only do you gotta know how to draw people, but you gotta know how to direct focus! WILD!
