Hello everyone!
Venris here!
GRUDGE! It's a good start for this post. A lot of work was done during the tournament on a new Dwarfs vs Greenskins Update (workout name). The Dwarf part is almost finished and here is what you can expect from it:
Note: Info about Beta is on bottom!
Note 2: Keep in mind that all numbers below are subject to change!
Note 3: Info below is 30-40% of whole update content :).
1. New Book of Grudges.
With Drunk Flamingo we just updated the Book of Grudges: Reforged mod.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1194662772
But that's not the end, in SFO this concept will be extended by a lot. The idea is quite simple, the Dwarfs start with grudges that are like endgame goals. Each Dwarfs faction gets different grudges and rewards to reflect the main theme of the faction leaders. Why not start another War of Vengeance? Or take down enemy leaders? Grudge!
Also the Grudge bar now has 6 levels over vanilla’s 3. The effects there are dynamic so it does not mean that 0 grudges gets the best effects for all Dwarf aspects of the game.

2. New building branching system.
Dawi are the faction of the best builders that are not in the best situation right now. Many wars and earthquakes demand making hard choices. That's why I wanted to implement a new branching building system. Each Growth, Public Order and Income building now has 2 variants with different effects and rewards. You can build only 1 version of each in each settlement so the number of choices is much higher now. Building have group texts so you won't be confused looking for the right one.
Income:
Deep Mines - high income with skaven corruption and lowered movement speed
Growth:
Goat Herds - upkeep reduction for units and experience bonuses with less overall growth than farms
Public Order:
Vaults: costly building with very high public order and untainted bonuses, protected by Hammerers
BEFORE

AFTER

3. Runes system:
The actual rune system in vanilla benefits only Lords and Heroes directly and it's time for a change. Dwarf technology tree is receiving 60 new techs! There you can pick from 4 runes for each unit group to alter units stats. Turtle Slayers? Fire Miners? You can have it all thanks to 14 different runes. But remember! You can pick only 1 rune for each group!
Unlocking these techs requires 2 things: Rune Forge on level 3 and different buildings depending on the unit group. So building everything will unlock more and more things. To adjust things more, Warriors Barracks and Oath Hall now have +1 new upgrade level.
Units groups that benefit from runes:
1. Miners
2. Warriors
3. Quarellers
4. Rangers
5. Irondrakes
6. Thunderers
7. Longbeards
8. Artillery
9. Ironbreakers
10. Slayers
11. Hammerers
12. Gyros

4. Ancestor shrines.
Why does only Grombrindal get anything from the Ancestors? All dwarfs worship them, so let's give them a chance also. 7 new buildings in a new buildings tab! Each for 1 Ancestor with effects to change how your province works and provide factionwide benefits. And again, only one can be build in each province.

5. Legendary Lords additions:
The White Dwarf topic again; he is the only dwarf LL besides Belegar that has any unique mechanics or things in dwarf campaigns. But why? What about the rest? Let's change that. Ungrim and Thorgrim also require love!
Slayer hero - exclusive addition to Ungrim campaign. Unique hero with various bonuses against specific factions. His gameplay changes depending on who he is fighting. His role is designed to not overlap Mixus Slayer hero! (He is still in works and won't be part of first beta phase.)
Everguard - special Hammerers unit that Thorgrim can recruit from turn 1 in Karaz-a-Karak. They have an upkeep of 1,000 gold! But it's not a problem for High King because in his army they have no upkeep at all. His personal guard is waiting for command! (This unit is campaign exclusive, won't go to custom battles.)
6. New unit:
Dawi are a faction that really don't need more new units. Almost all of their units have 2 variants. Like Rangers, Longbeards, Warriors or even Quarrelers. But what about Thunderers?
Dwarf Thunderers (Grudge Rakers) - new unit that is a variant of normal Thunderers. High damage with very low range. Very strong in short range and even in melee thanks to the fact that they can still shoot while in melee.
7. New edict:
A small and simple thing. An Edict to makes killing Ungi easier for some gold, simple!

So that's all the main features of the Dwarf Update. There are also many other changes here and there and overall battle performance and quality of life changes. All of them can be found in changelog on Patrons Discord channel in l-----beta_releases-----l when beta goes online.
This beta will be available for all Patrons on this Friday 28.09.2018! Beta won’t be save compatible with the public version or the next major beta update. News about Greenskins content will be released right after SFO Grand Tournament that ends on October 6th.
Have fun everyone, all of this good stuff is here only thanks to your support :).
Venris out!
