SFO II 100.000 SUBS!

The first SFO hero is here, and it’s for the Dark Elves. I am very proud of the work that went into this, it took a lot of effort to do but it’s here now. Since the Norsca update many of you have been wondering what's been happening and asking me why there's been no new big content. The answer is quite simple: we are focusing on the mod’s balance with the last few patches. The Grand SFO Tournament is near and a lot of things will happen at that time. So let's get started!

1. 100.000 subscribers of Steel Faith Overhaul II

Damn, if someone would’ve said to me 2 years ago that I will be head of the biggest TW: Warhammer mod I would laugh. But here we are now, and I want to give an incredible big thanks to all of you for helping! For this I want to do a big event. There will be a long stream with in-mod rewards and many other fun things. ETA for 100.000 subscribers stream is this Sunday (05.08.2018 D/M/Y) 4 PM CET Time!

2. Grand SFO Tournament!

32 person tournament with really big rewards!

1st place - 120$

2nd place - 40$

3rd place - 20$

The Grand SFO Tournament will have special places to watch on the streams and youtube channels of several content creators, so stay tuned! But this is not all, everyone that watches live or that watches on youtube will have the chance to win games, steam cards and more!

The Grand SFO Tournament will start September the 1st. More info about rules and how to participate will be available soon!

4. Dwarfs vs Greenskins finale update!

These two factions are on my radar for some time. After the SFO Grand Tournament, the final update for them will arrive. Dwarfs have recently received the very good forge mechanic, but Greenskins still need love, a lot of green love.

Thanks to cooperation with Drunk Flamingo the new Book of Grudges will be introduced based on his mod. Also dwarf units will receive a runic weapons system that will change how you play this faction. This system will work similarly to how units have contact effects like poison. Runic weapons for everyone! Joke of course, don't quote.

Greenskins have just received a major balance update, but its not everything. Green Mechanic (GM - testing name) will come to campaign. In short words it's a mechanic that depends on what you do. GM will have 10 levels of bonuses that will affect your whole faction. For every 5 actions like battles, taking province capitals, using agents, etc, you will get a dilemma with many choices. Depending on your actions, the dilemma will be different. After it your GM level will grow by 1 giving new bonuses. As this system is dynamic you can lose levels in time by not doing any of these actions or losing battles, settlements etc. More detailed info about it will be available soon.

Both factions will also receive 1 new unit each along with new buildings.

5. Dynamic units caps

For the last two months I have been working with Drunk Flamingo on this mod:

Ok, I the gave idea and he made the whole thing work but the result is perfect. This solution is coming to SFO soon. There will be a dilemma that gives you the option to enable/disable the feature at every campaign you start. It's still under heavy testing right now because the balance of SFO is an entirely different thing. But it will come in August with some permanent factionwide units caps. Don't be afraid, caps will come only for a few units like Steam Tanks for Empire or Chosen for Chaos. To increase these caps you will need tech, lords skills, and buildings. It won't be such a punishing system as what Tomb Kings have right now, to give you an idea.

Dilemma options:

1. Only factionwide caps
2. Only caps per army
3. Both
4. No caps at all

So this is future for the coming 2 months. In time some new stuff will come, but let's not spoil anything for now :)

P.S. Yes, in time I plan to add 1 new hero to each playable faction like new Fleetmasters!

It wont limit, you will now need to make more interesting builds using more units.

Caps per army sounds great, really hate doomstacks. Though it shouldn't limit army composition.

Caps per army? I thought that couldn't be done but great to here it was managed! I always wished a "per army cap" because that way, neither player nor AI could simply save all the caps for late game doom stacks.
