2024-08-06 11:38:10 +0000 UTCwhat is the password for zip file?
Rufat Badirov
2024-08-06 11:17:57 +0000 UTCThe surveillance camera was what I missed. Thank you!
Mike Lew
2024-08-02 21:59:45 +0000 UTCThe first thing would be to find out what the poisoner was doing by watching a surveillance recording of any suspicious activity. Then you can retrace the suspect’s actions and see if you can find out more from there.
PJ
2024-08-02 19:22:45 +0000 UTCI swear I've tried to talk to everyone in the bunker. How do I start finding the poisoner? I feel like the commander's beer is significant, but none of that seems to go anywhere.
Mike Lew
2024-08-02 19:03:08 +0000 UTCThank you so much. I didn't realize my armor mattered. I was wearing NCR armor. Once I took that off, I was all set. Thank you!
Mike Lew
2024-08-02 17:37:40 +0000 UTCHi Mike, you are close to entering the bunker. Here’s what you need to do next. You either need to destroy the turret or wear a power armor. Then interact with the door entry console. On top of that, if you are a non-human, they will not greet you warmly. Destroying the turret might be easier if you cheese it by hiding behind rocks or with a powerful weapon that you can get from Brotherhood encounters in case some paladin dies and you loot him/her.
PJ
2024-08-02 17:04:13 +0000 UTCI'm sorry to be so helpless with this game. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get into Maxon Bunker. When I kill the turret, I just get killed. Using the computer just gives a message saying there are technical difficulties. Science or repair on the terminal has someone telling me to stop. What am I missing?
Mike Lew
2024-08-02 16:49:26 +0000 UTCPerfect! We will investigate, thank you!
PJ
2024-07-27 07:09:57 +0000 UTCFound the way out. Thanks! It's weird, I went back to a very old save and could talk to Leo. I was able to replicate the crash and the log was sent. Thanks!
Mike Lew
2024-07-26 21:45:42 +0000 UTCTalking to Leo doesn’t crash the game for us. Can you send us your debug.log file to fallout.yesterday@pm.me so we can investigate? Quartermaster was cut in the last moment, she will make a return in the next version. Baseline exit grids don’t exist but there are staircases. The bounty hunter missions are tied to locations which haven’t yet been finished so they’ll show up a bit later. Same with the Legion quest. The town Council are the people living at the Rim. We will make that more obvious to the players. Thanks for playing the game and reporting back to us!
PJ
2024-07-26 20:32:13 +0000 UTCHow complete is Hoover Dam? There seem to be several things that should be quests, but don't show up in the PipBoy. Everytime I try to talk to Leo at the South gate the game crashes. Frieda says to give a message to the quartermaster, but he doesn't seem to exist. I can't find the exit grid from the baseline. The bounty hunter mission from Bob doesn't show up. The Cesar's Legion quest from the NCR Rangers doesn't show up. There doesn't appear to be a Town Council. Is all of this to come, or am I just horrible at seeing things?
Mike Lew
2024-07-26 19:04:17 +0000 UTCI went in the shack, but missed the ladder. Thank you so much!
Mike Lew
2024-07-20 22:46:10 +0000 UTCHi! Have you witnessed the events below the building that the Legion occupied? There’s a ladder leading downstairs in a nearby shack
PJ
2024-07-20 22:37:44 +0000 UTCI have a similar topic. Ceasar's Legion left the Fort Abandon farm, but when I report back, the dialog option says that the raiders haven't left. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
Mike Lew
2024-07-20 21:31:21 +0000 UTCThanks, Mike. Stay tuned for more updates as we make the game even better!
PJ
2024-07-20 14:59:17 +0000 UTCI'll try those. Thanks for the feedback. You've done a great job putting the game together.
Mike Lew
2024-07-20 14:00:36 +0000 UTCHi Mike, did you explore Tibbets? It’s a starting area, but you don’t have to leave it quicky like Vault 13 or Arroyo in previous games. You can refer to this map to discover where some of the locations are: https://images.fallout.wiki/5/58/World_map.jpg Some locations, such as Maxson Bunker, are hidden by default and you have to discover it by talking to someone in Hoover Dam. Regardless of that, the area around Maxson Bunker has lots of Brotherhood encounters. If they happen to die fighting someone, you can quickly get your hands on powerful and expensive guns. Yes, world map encounters around Tibbets aren’t balanced yet and you can meet tough enemies early on. We will make it easier for earlier players but there’s still much to do since the world map is 5 times the size of Fallout 2. There is a walkthrough in the main folder you can follow if you want to follow the main story.
PJ
2024-07-20 04:41:46 +0000 UTCWhat am I missing? Like Clive, I can't find much content in this game. I entered Fort Abandon, but I'm too weak to even make it past a dog. I found the encounter mentioned in the Walkthrough, but beyond that I either have to run away from random encounters or get killed. I've spent a few months of gametime wandering the map, but I have yet to even see anything like the Reservation, Maxson Bunker, or Hoover Dam. I really want to like this game, but it feels empty and the play balance seems complete out of whack. A single pistol with only one clip of ammo isn't much to go by. What am i doing wrong?
Mike Lew
2024-07-19 21:07:12 +0000 UTCCircle Junction is for now unfortunately devoid of NPCs. We hope to be able to finish it soon. All the dialogs and quests have been done but we require some new art pieces. Fort Abandon has plenty of life. The entry gate to the reactor can be lockpicked and there’s a lot happening if you go north to the parking lot/graveyard. From there you can go further west. There’s a main story walkthrough in the main folder which you can follow if you want.
PJ
2024-07-17 20:56:22 +0000 UTCJust to make sure we're on the same page... there are 0 NPCs in the 2 next closest areas to Tibbets. I can't get into Fort Abandon because the steel barrels block the way. The next area close by is built up but also doesn't have a single NPC there.
Clive Cusens
2024-07-17 20:43:22 +0000 UTCHi, some of the empty areas are just for progress show. The areas with the most content are Tibbets, Fort Abandon, the Reservation, Maxson Bunker, Hoover Dam, and dozens of special encounters. Next release will feature Mesa Verde.
PJ
2024-07-17 16:43:09 +0000 UTCHi! I wonder whether this is just happening to me or not but once I get past the first map and move to the next ones, they're all empty... like there's nobody there. I've been running around the map and even found another (nameless) built-up area but again there was nobody there. Have I installed this wrong?
Clive Cusens
2024-07-17 16:10:58 +0000 UTCHi Eric, you can find that file in the Fallout 2 patch version US 1.02d. You also have to use that version’s fallout2.exe. And you have to provide critter.dat and master.dat from your own Fallout 2 copy.
PJ
2024-07-16 05:35:43 +0000 UTCHey, can anyone help me fine the patch0000.dat file? That’s the only thing I can’t find in my fallout2 folder
Eric Choi
2024-07-16 00:49:02 +0000 UTCHi! You can exit the simulation by interacting with the jukebox inside the Vault
PJ
2024-07-09 16:49:49 +0000 UTCi cant find anywhere else to ask this so im asking here. Why cant i leave the vault 8 simulation ???
Florida Boi
2024-07-09 16:27:04 +0000 UTCPerfect, thanks for the feedback!
Carlos Mateos Moreno
2024-07-07 08:19:23 +0000 UTCThanks and I hope you enjoy the game so far, besides the issue with hunger system you’ve had. It will be fixed in the next release!
PJ
2024-07-07 08:15:15 +0000 UTCHi Carlos, it usually takes a max of 30 seconds for those states to go away after you’ve eaten or drank. Regarding those sinks, it will take some time to get all the working sinks able to provide water so that wasn’t done yet in order to not delay 0.6 release.
PJ
2024-07-07 08:14:15 +0000 UTCEnjoy, Dante!
PJ
2024-07-07 08:10:09 +0000 UTCHi there! Are the Starvation and dehydratation features debugged? Im trying to delete it interacting with sink and food but these states still persist. Anyway, great job!
Carlos Mateos Moreno
2024-07-07 05:26:45 +0000 UTCVery exciting, can't wait to dig my teeth into this!
Dante DeSanctis
2024-07-07 05:19:42 +0000 UTCThank you Willem! Enjoy the game and summer too!
PJ
2024-07-06 17:03:48 +0000 UTCAgain, congratulations PJ and the team! I know very well that it is such hard work creating something like FY and keeping that discipline for driving the project forward. You and the team deserve a nice summer break after this milestone! Well done again and thank you for carrying this legacy of Fallout forward!
Willem Brits
2024-07-06 16:55:58 +0000 UTCHaha thanks, some rest would be nice now to recharge the human batteries
PJ
2024-07-06 09:24:36 +0000 UTCI can't believe how fast you guys work!
JR
2024-07-06 09:15:28 +0000 UTCThanx!
Renzo Scuro
2024-07-06 08:57:51 +0000 UTCOK, I updated the post with 7z archive versions. Enjoy!
PJ
2024-07-06 08:34:27 +0000 UTCI’ll submit the file to Microsoft for false positive analysis but will also upload a simple 7z archive. Maybe the self-extracting exe is the issue
PJ
2024-07-06 07:35:11 +0000 UTCsaddly it doesn't work, 7z refuses to extract anything because of virus detection (I updated my 7z to latest version but the issue remains)
Renzo Scuro
2024-07-06 07:33:16 +0000 UTCAlternatively, you can download the game directly from the source code. I can send you instructions
PJ
2024-07-06 07:32:08 +0000 UTCThere’s no Trojan inside of that file. The only exe inside is the one for HiRes config. You can extract the files using 7z by right-clicking installer and selecting “Open with 7z.”
PJ
2024-07-06 07:24:33 +0000 UTCHello, Windows defender do not like this installer at all. It detects (Trojan:Win32/Phonzy.B!ml)
Renzo Scuro
2024-07-06 07:22:12 +0000 UTCThank you, Oliver! Enjoy!
PJ
2024-07-06 05:42:09 +0000 UTCI'm excited to try this out.
