🥹❤️ I wrote this song after my 20th birthday in 2011 after I came out to my friends for the first time. I was so thankful and happy that they loved me and accepted me for who I was.

In the years since I wrote this song, I went through my share of painful friendship breakups. Some of them hurt me more than any romantic break up ever has. This has made me love and cherish my friends and support systems even more. In a time where there’s a lot of darkness and heaviness in the world and in this political climate, I hope this song is a warm hug and a reminder to hold your friends and your community close.
