I think the Tascam is great for the writing sounds but it is SO LOUD!!!!! I had so much fun and I'm still smiling from this haha thank you for listening and spending your time with me!

2026-01-10 19:19:05 +0000 UTCi like them both but the tascam was more tingly for me. it was crazy how you could even hear the texture of the paper as you were using the pen. also i just want to say again that i love the idea of the reading together streams and i hope you'll give that a go!

I did like how loud the triggers were with Tascam so probably that one if I had to pick. I also really hope you do more stuff like this especially if it makes you happy! 2026-01-10 08:44:35 +0000 UTCI think the Neumann picks up the closeness of your voice better and the markers clattering together sounded nice with those mics. Where as the Tascam really picked up every nuanced sound around it possibly could, it's an amazing little piece of tech. Between the two I would pick the Neumanns but hearing them in tandem was quite nice. If you enjoyed working with markers you might also consider painting with pastels, you can blend the colors on the canvas with your fingers so they're a little messier but I think the sounds would be good.
