Sunday plans 10/12/2025 - MINI FEAST AND OVER THE GARDEN WALL WATCH PARTY!!!
Added 2025-10-05 21:50:53 +0000 UTCI think instead of early morning we can watch Over The Garden Wall a bit later and end the night with cozy fall-themed ASMR! I'm thinking 6:30PM EST because the entire show is around ~ 2 hours long. We can have a Shepard's Pie as a stew/potatoes and molasses type of thing (ex recipe https://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/easy_shepherds_pie/ ) or some sort of potatoes and gravy like potatoes and molasses! You can also do the actual potatoes and molasses if you follow this recipe here https://www.feastofstarlight.com/over-the-garden-wall-potatoes-and-molasses/ or https://thegluttonousgeek.com/2020/11/11/potatoes-and-molasses/but it may be a bit complex or have too many ingredients to purchase! You can also do quick mashed potatoes mix with gravy!!! Anything like that works!
For a drink I suggest apple cider! There are many in season to buy but apple juice or warmed apple juice can do the trick! If you want an easy spiked apple cider I suggest https://wholefully.com/apple-cider-hot-toddy/ there are also easy apple cider mixes!
If you'd like to do a dessert I suggest turtle candies or you can make them homemade if you want to do some extra work https://pudgefactor.com/easy-3-ingredient-turtles-candy/ this is fitting with the show! You can also do dirt cups which are chocolate pudding and crushed oreos and some gummy frogs if you can find them!!!
I will be making a Shepard's Pie with some molasses and mushroom gravy with apple cider as my drink and I'll buy some turtles and make a dirt cup! I also really appreciate the early notice, I try to do all my groceries on Monday/Tuesday so that means I'll be able to grab everything in one fell swoop the time also works out just fine for me! I’ve been really enjoying our little cooking projects and watchalong so this mini feast has me super excited, I can’t wait to try those turtles! Never seen the show before so I’ll be going in blind. I think I'll get some of the bottled sparkling apple cider though. I think its Martinellis or something. Love that stuff. Making the turtles could be fun.
