Fuck yeah.

I did something new on this one, though it's nothing huge. I'm just always pleased whenever I get creative with compositing nodes.

So basically, in this particular version, Julie's boobs are separate meshes clipping into her main body. You could see the seam pretty clearly, and there wasn't any one tone that worked seamlessly across the surface (because the skin does have some mild subtle texturing to it).

Okay, well maybe it's not SUPER obvious, but in motion it becomes more obvious.

Anyway, if it was a still image it would be easy to blur this to hide it, but for an animation you gotta use compositing nodes.

Nodes can look complex, but what I'm doing in essence is simple: I have the original image and a blurred version of the same image (the bottom-left two nodes). I am using a box mask (top left) to tell it to mask that tiny seam area so that the blurred version is shown in that area only, and I'm blurring the mask itself just so it's smoother.

And voila:

I had no idea there was a node that gave you a customizable mask; there's a lot of cool shit you could do with that.

I get excited by stuff like this because I often do little touch-up stuff like this in Gimp, and it's cool to be able to automate stuff like that across dozens of frames.

I'll admit the camera angle can be misleading; Julie's actually on her back. But I think it'll be clear in context.
