Status Report (with NSFW audio sample)

Well, gosh, here you go! The fucking courage it takes to share this shit.


This is a little sound sample from one of the scenes where I fully implemented audio. It is essentially a final draft, the culmination of months of work.
I thought about making it a video, which might help give a context to why some of the audio sounds a bit disjointed (since I'm just clicking rapidly through one scene), but I wanted this to be easy to listen to. You're getting a smattering of a few random different kinds of loops here.

The female voice you hear here will be used for Stella, Kelly, Amy, and Samantha, while Julie will have her own slightly lower-pitched version (except the kissing and some of the moans, which currently remain the same).

The quick, sharp sound at the end (at 1:04) is what I'm planning to use for the climax sounds (I have 4 variations of it but they're all pretty similar).
I initially wanted a more drawn-out and intense climax sound, but after much deliberation, felt that this was the safer path. The last thing I want is for the audio to detract from the experience, and a scream will either work really well, or...it'll ruin it.

I've said this before, but bear in mind, you will be able to mute whatever you want. The music, the mattress, the male voice, or the female voice, each independent of each other. In the sample here, I only tinkered with the music volume while leaving the rest alone.
The music pretty much drowns out the mattress, and that can't really be helped. The mattress noises basically live on those mid frequencies, and I'm not about to sacrifice those in the music when I'm struggling enough as-is to get each instrument to stand out.
Similarly, the female voice tends to stand out a lot more than the male voice most the time when the music is loud. I reckon that's fine.

Programming it turned out to be way more of a nightmare than I ever anticipated. Sure, playing a looping sound in the background is easy, but I ended up doing a good bit more than that, and splitting the "voice" volume slider into male and female ended up being a lot more annoying to do than I expected.
I programmed a list of 8 random sounds that play during animations (a set for kissing and a set for moans), getting faster when the animations speed up, and even changing into a different set of more intense sounds at the fastest setting (you hear this in the above loop at around 0:36, though the change is pretty seamless while the music's running).

However, actually implementing all the sound effects into a scene went by pretty quick, once I worked out what kind of sounds I'd want to use where.

All this to say, most of what remains now is simply to program the sound effect audio into every scene, and to revamp whatever other imagery I'm hoping to do this go-round.
