F-Zero GX Remaster is Progressing!
Added 2022-01-19 03:09:59 +0000 UTCWoo! I think I've finally collected all the footage I need to for the F-Zero GX remaster. Some of it I sourced from a generous YouTuber, but a lot of the footage was recorded by myself. All the menus, pilot profiles (with the help of a 100% completed save file from GameFAQs), and even all of the story mode. Which, let me tell you, was NOT easy! In order to record the cut scenes at the end of the story missions, I had to actually beat the mission. Have you ever played the F-Zero GX story missions? They are sometimes stupid difficult. Anyway, I was able to finish the whole story and got all the footage.
I have a lot of work ahead of me though. I now need to collect all the music. KHInsider has pretty much all of it. But these files are SUPER loud. I've done a few tests and I find that lowering the overall volume by 8 decibels brings the volume down to a suitable level before I begin to process the audio. Then I need to process all audio. And then I need to put it all into Premiere, add the footage, cutting it all up and placing it where appropriate. At around 100 tracks, this is going to be the biggest project to date. But how I love to work on it!
And fun fact, the story mission cut scene music doesn't exist by itself. This is the reason I needed to record all the cut scenes myself. That way I have the audio right from the game. Otherwise I would have found someone on YouTube and ask to use their recording.
