In my experience, I didn't have a problem watching season 1 when it was airing. I think the reason people say that season 1 is "slow" is because they retroactively look back at season 1 after finishing the series and they then say its comparatively "weaker" than the other seasons. I sort of feel the same way but that's not to take away anything from season 1. I still think season 1 is really good but it definitely ramps up as the seasons go on.

2025-07-16 23:34:40 +0000 UTCGeneral consensus I've seen with season 1 is that it's not too crazy cause everyone knows what happens later on, and if I were trying to get someone new into the show that knows nothing about it, this probably wouldn't be the part where I'd want to hype it up. It's still good though, it just gets better imho

A lot of people say Season 1 is slow because it focuses more on world-building and character intros which for me I was fine with, since that kind of setup is necessary in shows like this to give the characters depth and make the bigger story moments hit harder later on. The start dragged a bit for me, but once it picked up, I got way more into it and it just kept getting better the more I watched.
