Pernida was a “gift” to Yhwach. Recall from cour 2 the meeting of Ichibei & Yhwach. Ichibei gave the Left Arm, and in return he sealed The Almighty, which is ultimately why the quincys LOST 1000 years ago.

Idk what significance it has with the story or if they were just like yeah lets just play it in reverse now but its still cool nonetheless to me lmao (maybe its just me but even with the visuals reverse, it still fits the song somehow). I think they started doing this last episode or the episode before it but don't quote me on that.
