Also a little maybe world building (I don’t have a better word for it rn I’m cooked) with that clip before the outro. We know that fukurodani is a very high level team, and definitely the strongest team Karasuno has gone against. It’s also been mentioned that Itachiyama is the best school in the country, and we see them beating fukurodani to take the first place spot in the Tokyo qualifiers. The three teams from Tokyo going to nationals are Itachiyama, Fukurodani, and Nekoma in that order, and those are three exciting teams to expect at nationals. Can’t wait to get into season 4, might be my favorite. This story builds on itself so well.

There was another OVA between seasons 1 and 2 that introduced Lev, basically his own whole episode to get to know him before he meets our team. I hate when they put important characters and events in OVAs like that and this because how would you know you have to watch that. And if you miss it then you’re just lacking a lot of information and it’s just unfortunate that they have to pick and choose how things get shown a lot.
