It's more so you can tell they actually took effort to blend it into the normal 2D art style instead of just pasting the models there. (I think its the next episode or the one after that where you can clearly tell it on the death knight that they actually put effort in.)

2024-02-14 13:00:21 +0000 UTCSo! Shalltear is the FIRST floor guardian. Back in the MMO people could like, raid and attack guild houses. So they made the first person you would fight absolutely busted. She's heavily heavily optimized for combat to keep people out. And the 9th floor is guarded by Sebas and ALL of the maids, acting as the sort of the last line of defense. Albedo was guardian of the 10th floor, but thats also where the guild members would be and make their stand if they needed to (no one ever even got close to getting there). And the last person I'll note is Pandora's Actor, who was the guardian of the actual treasury with all their god tier items and money. While probably not the strongest he had a very important job and a lot to protect.

2024-02-14 03:21:43 +0000 UTCThe CGI is definitely a lot better this season. But they also had like 4 years or some shit since season 3. If nothing else they've improved the composition.
