This is the second part of this two part series which released 14 days ago. and it focuses more on the use of the mirror we brougth along on the set. π€©π΄

Back in the summer of 2023, I was contacted by this beautiful young lady named Christina J. Schmidt, who wanted to meet up with me in a forrest, to do her some awesome shots. We did - and everything turned out superb! π₯Ήπ€π»
Since then, we've kept in contact and since then, she literally haven't talked about anything else than that day and the experience it was. π«Άπ» When she heard I was in Jylland once again this summer, she quickly wrote me that she wanted to meet up again - but this time around at a beach to do something classy there.
We arranged it - BUT as you might know the danish weather ain't always reliable, so on the day of the shooting it was soaking wet and pouring down with rain... πβοΈ Not just, a few clouds with rain in it. Nope, it was SOAKING wet all over and heavy grey cloudy shades.. haha.Christina is such a fighter tho, so she didn't want to back down, so we actually went with her idea and said; "Okay, fuck it! Let's do this and see what comes out of it. πͺπ»π ".
If you haven't already, I highly suggest you go check out the 'Behind The Scenes'-video from the day right here at that link. βΊοΈ
(As you clearly can see, the weather sucked BIG TIME for the purpose of doing photos - but our mood was sky high! ππ)
We began the shoot at the beach and later moved up inland to do some more exotic looking stuff, with green leaves and woods (which because of the rain, indeed was looking green and florish! π€©) but due to the heavy rain I was forced to push the White Balance all the way up and ended up shooting most of the session, on +10K Kelvin which is insane to be honest, but I had to to achieve some sort of warm feeling/vibe to the photos. π π€ Luckily the Canon R5 is the perfect beast for such a job since it handle those high numbers very well. π€π»
(When looking at these two photos, it should be clear to see that the setting in the woods were much more green-ish / warm, instead of the cold grey sand at the beach. When shooting with a camera, it's all about how the sensor measures the image and correct it's WB - so a trick is simply just to force it to tone the photos much warmer than they appear, when shooting in a 'cold environment' so to speak βΊοΈ)
When we worked at the woods it was much easier to get this warm look I wanted to, because otherwise it would simply be too depressing to look at due to the weather.. πβπ»
We ended up being in a slight hurry because of how freezing cold it actually was for Christina, so in. between the shooting, we wrapped her in huge jackets and hugged her to keep her warm. Such a fighter!!
At the end we did quite a few setups and some of them are included in the second part of this set, which releases two weeks or so - like the one below where we implemented a mirror to create some artsy stuff (unfortunately still soaked in rain, which was such a shame.. ππ)
(Above is shown two of the setups which we also did. One of them didn't make the cut and into the final second part of this series. Which one do you think that is? ππ€·π»ββοΈ)
I think that pretty much sums it up. π₯³
Everything was done in natural light, with no reflectors used, at my Canon R5. My assistant held an umbrella for the most of the time, but was in such a hurry helping out Christina too - so I got soaked aswell after like 30 min or so.. ππ
As always: Please feel free to ask away about whatever you want to know about this shoot! βΊοΈ Technical stuff, practical stuff, tips or tricks - or simply just let me know what you think. π₯³ππ»
