Your submissions for the 'Lecker' series with Melanie Edit Challenge !

Eventhou I'm pretty busy working these days in Spain, we still need to take a look at your awesome submissions, which wasn't that many this time tho, but I still like the way the challenge was approached! 😅

As you might already know, this months challenge was photos from this semi experimental shoot with Melanie Beckendorff-Leavens, from which you were given five free raw-files to download and play around with. 😁

The rules were simple: 'You were all given five free raw-files of mine, to process the way you felt the most'. 🤓🤌🏻🔥

So basically you were all given completely opportunities to edit just the way you wanted. 🤷🏻‍♂️🥳 Nothing is wrong - everything is absolutely right! 😁👏🏻 There wasn't really that many submissions this month, so it's gonna be a short run.. 😅🙏🏻

Enough talk, let's just head straight into your submissions:

Patron C. Klem:

I don't know if you remember, but back in February when I showed the results of that months challenge, a fellow patron of you named C. Klem, submitted a bounch of AI generated photos as his submission. 😁 They were more or less hilarious to look at - but now he's back and he did it again! 😆

It's very hard for me to give proper feedback on submissions like these, since it's computer generated and not processed like normal edited photos would be. I mean, what was done on purpose and what is just random generated?
- Sure, the results can look cool, impressive or just straight up awesome, but in challenges like these, I can't help but think that the raw images were just send through an AI-generator which was told to "make an AI version with a similarity close to 80% of the original" or so. 😅🤪🤷🏻‍♂️

I'll try to write down some of my thoughts anyway tho.. 😁

It's obvious which of the raw-photos this one is a version of.

I like the overall "Cyborg"-inspired look, but I'm not entirely sure what is going on with the female full body model at the bottom of the image!? 😂🤷🏻‍♂️ Looks cool, but extremely random to me.. 😆

This one is easy to guess as well, however you've prompted the AI to make the model look at bit more foreign than the original. 😅 Interesting take.

So this one HAS to be generated from a prompt like; "But like a female cyborg in a cyperpunk inspired city" or so.. 😆

When I shot the original, I had absolutely no idea of it turning out like this! It's hilarious to witness. 🥳🙌🏻

Again, it's kinda easy to guess which of the photos this was made of, but I'm dying to know what the prompts for the generator was! 👀
If you do stuff like this again in another challenge, C. Klem, could I ask you to throw me the prompts or just some basic thoughts behind? 😅🙏🏻

As I said in the beginning; it's rather hard for me to give some constructive criticism on stuff like this, since I have no clue what has been going on, from either the AI or if there has been any post-process done on the photos.

Patron Quinzin aka Dennis:

This months submissions from our trusty and creative patron named Quinzin, was announced in the mail he send me, as "a bit lazy made" (I guess it's because he's busy with life and just haven't got the time to really have fun and play around with the challenge this month - and that is just all fine! 🥳🙌🏻)

However, we should definitely take a look at them anyway. 😁

The first thing I noticed was how similar they all look. It seems like you've applied the same 'Adjustments' to all of them, which consist of some heavy vignette, a black & white conversion with a tint of purple/red tones. It's not sephia but a bit purple. ☺️

Like the previous submissions we just talked about, from C. Klem, it's hard for me to give individual feedback on these, since it looks a bit like I just said, that it's the same adjustments which has been made.
No real skin retouch, liquify or such thing - so I think you've focused on the Lightroom part of the edit, right? 🤓 - Like playing around with cool looks until you found this setup. 👏🏻

So I guess I will leave it at this and let's just have a look at the submissions below. 😁

To all of you who wrote me telling that you were worried of others looking at your submissions; Don't be. ☺️🖤 It's super fine to be totally new in the game and just using this as a practice to get better, due to the feedback. That's what this is all about. ☺️

IMPORTANT INFO:

Because of lack of time due to my recent trip to Spain with Marie Elisabeth, I haven't had the time to get things set up for May - so we will need to skip May months challenge.
I'm sorry, but it will return again ASAP I promise. ☺️🙏🏻
