I'm slightly embarrassed by this one, though not for the story itself. See, I had only just made a thread for Pandora and it wasn't even at 10k words yet, when I suddenly was seized by an idea. I remembered an old classic Wormfic called "Shy Girl," and I got to thinking, and thinking...
I wanna say it was less than a week after posting Pandora when I made a thread for No Plumbers, and it had more words already. I was so excited about the care bears story, and then this juggernaut comes out of nowhere and shoulders it aside in my head, demanding to be heard instead.
Anyway.
No Plumbers Allowed is my take on the classic Wormfic altpower; for those unaware (though how did you get here if you didn't know this already?), for a long time there was a trend of stories where the sole point of divergence from canon was that the main character, Taylor, develops a different power from her original one. And it was common to draw on other works of fiction for inspiration, like the Flash, of Dragonball, or giving her the power to build Megaman robots...
So I thought to myself, I think: "Hey, Mario has a whole lot of wacky technology, let's make her a Mario Tinker!"
And the rest is history. This is the one I'm working on right now, actually, so it's the most likely to get updated next. See you soon!
