Owlman Demo

Happy All Souls Day! In celebration of this important medieval holiday, send an enemy to its early grave in this exclusive pre-alpha build of the game!

I've spent the past month locking in and setting up basic enemy AI to bring you this, and I'm very proud of how it works. We're slowly approaching the stage of development where I can wind down making core systems and focus on developing proper content instead, which means more interesting updates more often!

Thanks to all of you patient patrons, and welcome to the many who joined to play this very demo! I hope you enjoy it, even if it's very small. My hope is that this time next year, there'll be something much bigger and much more exciting for you to get your hands on!

The music in this release isn't completely finished, but it's by my friend Saf_OST, who is cooking up a storm for this project over on her end.

Thanks all,

Mia

The controls are mentioned in the readme.txt included with the files, but I should probably add them to the patreon post, too. Thank you for giving the game a go, and for reporting the bug!

Just finished this little alpha ! It looks very promising so far. The graphics are very charming and gloomy, and the game feels very responsive. Though, a few points worth mentioning: - A help showcasing "which button does what" would be nice to have because for the life of I could not find a way to lock-on the camera onto the enemy, and I didn't know I could heal myself until I finished the demo ^^" - I also got an interesting bug where you can hold your howls without button press. You build up the "Howl meter" to the max; then while you attack, release the "howl" button, and voilà ! if done properly, Vesna will still hold her howl, but without you inputs. In this mode, Vesna can still attack, but she cannot heal, and to finally howl, you just have to press the "howl" button again. (I say interesting, because it could be turned into a feature in where, for example, you take more damage, can't heal, but do more damage in return ?) Either way, I can't wait to see how this game ends up becoming !
