Dev Log 3.2: WRK

Hello!

I was hoping to have the first chapter 4 preview by now to show you, but the truth is as far as rendering goes progress has been quite slow.

I'd been hoping to carry forward the momentum from finishing chapter 3, where I was more efficient rendering than I ever have been making this game, but I forgot the crucial detail of exactly how much writing goes into the first few weeks of a new update cycle. So, you're going to have to wait at least another week for a preview. Sorry about that.

But on a more positive note, the writing for chapter 4 is going pretty smoothly. Some scenes have been sticking points, but mostly it's all falling into place nicely. The structure I had worked out in the last dev log seems to be holding up, so I think once I've got more of the early scenes in the chapter closer to finalized I should be able to quite quickly go through and get them rendering. Overall, the chapter doesn't contain many difficult/complexly posed scenes as far as I can tell, so the setup for each scene will hopefully be pretty straightforward, making the whole process more streamlined overall.

By next week I should have the first preview for you all. Depending on how things go I might have more than one that'd be interesting to show off, but I'm not going to overpromise. The first month after a release has always been the slowest for me, just because of how I find it best to work. So while the dev logs so far haven't exactly been reporting on much progress, I will shortly be able to give you a bit more information once I fully get into the render cycle of it all.
