I've been taking a bit of time to get some work done on the game. Here is a block out for the hub world's layout.
The one currently in the game has a few key locations but was mostly slapped together as a test. I started to build it out in the game, but I need to make a proper tile set for it so it may or may not be in the next build. I mostly wanted to see how it feels to run around the space, and other then wanting to make some hallways a little less flat I'm happy with it so far.
The space is supposed to be a blend of the mundane and mystical, with it mostly being an office building built into a cave structure floating in a void. There are offices for key characters, places to warp to Bito's summons (the main story levels of the game), and many spots to get some flirty private (or less then private) time with some of the imps hanging around. From the supply closet, to the bath house, to the elevators.
Main missing spots are the I.T. Labs where Ruben and Socket do their work. I also had sketches for a cafe area that will probably be on it's own floor. There are also a few Imps who I'm still designing and need proper offices. There will also be hallways you can wonder down that offer some platforming challenges and mysteries.
I got a list of things I'm working on to get a first proper story trailer done, and a tester build in peoples hands. There are still some things I gotta code in or debug, but a lot of the work from here is content, from longer date arcs, to more levels.
