Added 2021-06-22 07:51:42 +0000 UTCI was tossing around the idea to have some areas with larger sprites, so you can get a better look at some of the NPCs while outside of a VN segment.
If I go through with the larger sprites, the exact scale I'd still have to work out, but it would mostly be used in towns, in-door areas, and such. The main game would still be in the current sprite scale though, that is not being replaced.
Something like that would not be too hard to add, with only really some collision and movement numbers needing top be changed in code, but they would need a bunch of new graphics.
Doing some math with scaling a normal room size up to fill the screen, the sprites would be around 35% larger, tough 50% larger could also work.
