2025-12-03 01:09:51 +0000 UTCNIGHTMARE Xmas story: I was 18/19, walking down the steps from my bedroom to the living room to head to a Xmas party with my mom. Was looking at my phone walking down the carpeted stairs when I misstepped & fell forward, my right foot taking the brunt of the impact. I remember hearing a delicate *crack* noise when my foot hit the stairs first, and I tumbled down about 8 or 9 steps. Mom yelled asking what happened, then I said I fell and hurt myself. Tried to move my shin and foot, and couldn’t. Was sweating from sheer pain. Eventually managed to get my boots & socks off & saw that my right foot was bent at about a 45 degree left angle. Took me over an hour to convince her to take me to the ER. Got X-rayed & my foot had cracked “like an eggshell”. Showed up to the Xmas party in crutches and a cast, high off Xan from the hospital tho, so that was tight.
