Toontober 2025 Calendar Summary

Well, after this month I finished a bit exhausted, but happy to have completed this challenge. The first few weeks were exciting, but the last one was frustrating due to the internet outages I mentioned, though I haven't mentioned the power outage on the last day. Anyway, I was more at ease knowing I was almost finished, and luckily the outage only lasted a few hours.

In this challenge, I not only wanted to try to complete it, since I couldn't last year, but I also raised the bar. Back then, they were colored sketches with unfinished and messy lines, as well as rough coloring. However, this time I wanted to do the lines and painting in detail and with as few mistakes as possible. Perhaps some look rushed, but I think I met the minimum quality standard I wanted.

I really appreciate the support and comments I've received here; without you, I wouldn't be able to do this. Really, thank you guys with all my hart!!❤ And here's the complete Inktober calendar, so I'd love to know which day or days are your favorites:

Funny, after doing that drawing I felt like watching 101 Dalmatians again, so yesterday Anhes and I finally watched it again after decades of not seeing it. I must say I didn't remember it being one of the most heartwarming movies I've ever seen. I know that in my case I've made it quite desirable for a gay person, of course 😛, but the message about fatherhood and love feels very beautiful, something I don't recall being emphasized much these days sadly. Anyway, I'm glad those are your favorites. Thank you very much for your support and your words of encouragement!

Thanks for your words of encouragement. I think it's an exaggeration to say I surpass the original styles, like in the example you gave. I may have made Tex's wolf more appealing, but in my case, it's not animated, and the beauty of his style lay in the animation, which made it far superior to anything I could do. Anyway, I tried to incorporate each studio's style into every drawing. Perhaps by doing this, I lose some originality in my own style, but it really helps me learn the expressiveness of those cartoons I loved so much as a kid, and honestly, my style was in need of an update. xP Thanks again for your kind words, and have a great week!

That was a great month. The characters looked great and I loved a huge number of them. I did see on an old post that we could have gotten liquidator and it is a shame we did not, I would have loved to see that. But, what you did do looked amazing. I loved the use of older cartoons, Wolfie from the Tex Avery cartoons is an excellent example of how well you did with this. The character looks far far better than anything from the original cartoon and is far more attractive. The art was all amazingly well done. Congratulations on being able to do this challenge you set for yourself. I know all of us appreciate getting to see the art from it.

Thanks again - wonderful job ♡. My fave is 24 (!) followed by 6, 8, & 18, but I love the variety, and the month overall was a lot of fun. The effort you put in is very appreciated, but don't push yourself too hard!
