HP: The Duelist of Hogwarts - 400

Chapter 400: Gavin's Death?

Looking at Voldemort, who appeared behind him at some point, Gavin sighed.

Today might turn out badly.

With a sigh, Gavin raised his wand again. Dark green light flickered brilliantly, colliding together.

Sean sat in the trial chamber, watching Harry absolutely dominate, reducing Fudge and some of his Ministry officials to speechlessness. Sean couldn't help but sigh in admiration. The teachable youth. The things Sean had taught Harry over the past few days were basically being performed at an extraordinary level. Compared to the obviously underprepared Fudge and his people, the neutral Wizengamot members were clearly shifting toward Harry.

"The situation looks good. Add Dumbledore and your grandfather's circle of old friends afterward, and this little guy should be fine."

Hearing Marchbanks's words, Sean nodded. He was about to say something when suddenly a wave of palpitations rose within him. Sean clutched his chest, furrowing his brow deeply. Since awakening his Spirit Vision ability, Sean had gradually discovered that various premonitions from his body often had reasons. This current palpitation was no exception.

Marchbanks noticed Sean's abnormality and reached out to pat his arm, wanting to ask if something was wrong. But the moment her hand touched Sean, his eyes instantly filled with white mist.

A solemn scene.

Everything in sight was people dressed in black.

From ahead came faint sounds of weeping.

As his vision moved, Sean saw familiar figures.

His own father, his own mother, his own grandmother, his own younger brother.

Dumbledore, Ogden, Dordolian.

And then himself.

When Sean's gaze met Sean's, the current Sean suddenly jolted awake. He suddenly stood up, no longer caring about anything else, and directly left the trial chamber.

Those who saw Sean's movement had varying thoughts, but those who understood Sean immediately sensed something was wrong. Particularly Dumbledore. He had just noticed Sean's abnormality and recognized it as a sign of future sight. Any premonition powerful enough to make Sean so abnormal could hardly be anything good.

Looking at the somewhat bewildered Harry, Dumbledore decided to remain. He had to stay by Harry's side; otherwise, Harry might not triumph over these people, despite today's spectacular performance.

Sean stepped into the fireplace, intending to go to Bulstrode Manor, but unexpectedly, when the green flames in the fireplace rose, he discovered that he had remained standing in the Ministry's fireplace. The Floo Network connection between the Ministry and Bulstrode Manor had been closed.

The Floo Network was closed.

Muttering to himself, Sean grabbed another handful of Floo Powder and tossed it into the fireplace.

"Diagon Alley!"

Green flames rose as Sean stepped out of the Leaky Cauldron's fireplace and directly Apparated away, vanishing before the fireplace.

Bang!

With a loud crack, Sean appeared before Bulstrode Manor's gates. Just as he was about to enter, he saw two unfamiliar servants guarding the gate suddenly draw their wands and point them at him.

Sean looked at them, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Are you Boreal's people?"

"Who we work for doesn't matter. Bulstrode Manor is now closed. Nobody is permitted to enter!"

"I see." Sean looked at them, drew his wand instantly, and fired two Disarming Charms in quick succession, sending the two gate servants flying backward.

Watching the two wands fall at his feet, Sean stomped them in half and proceeded deeper into Bulstrode Manor. His expression was extremely grim. Those two servants who'd been knocked away tried to stop Sean from entering, but Sean kicked them aside, sending them flying unconscious with blood trickling from their mouths and noses.

Inside Bulstrode Manor, Sean surprisingly encountered no one. He proceeded directly into the manor's depths. When he reached Gavin and Elaine's room, he immediately saw Elaine sitting inside with hollow eyes.

Walking briskly forward, Sean looked at Elaine and grasped her ice-cold hand, saying softly, "Grandmother, grandmother, look at me. I'm Sean. What happened?"

With Sean's call, Elaine slowly turned her head toward him, tears streaming down her face.

"Sean, Boreal says you... You killed your grandfather. Is that true?"

Hearing these words, Sean felt his heart clench as if it were being gripped by a hand. His breath caught in his throat. He opened his mouth, forcibly suppressing the churning emotions within, and said, "Grandmother, do you know about Veritaserum? I can take it right now. Then you can ask me any questions, and I'll give you truthful answers. I haven't harmed Grandfather. Additionally, I've been at the Ministry the entire time. Grandfather's friends can testify to that."

With Sean's words, Elaine finally regained some composure. She slid from her chair onto her knees, leaning against Sean's body, embracing him, and trembling as she sobbed.

"Sean, your grandfather... what happened to him?"

"Sean, Boreal came back just now. He... he brought back your grandfather's... your grandfather's body. He said you and Death Eaters conspired to kill your grandfather. But then he said... he suspected it might not have been you. That someone disguised as you might have lured your grandfather out and then secretly contacted Death Eaters and dark wizards to kill your grandfather. Since you said it wasn't you, then... could someone have disguised themselves as you?"

Elaine trailed off. Sean embraced his grandmother and asked softly, "Grandmother, did Grandfather mention going to see anyone when he left today?"

"Your grandfather went to see Boreal. That's how Boreal discovered Death Eaters had killed your grandfather."

He went to see Boreal.

Such a coincidence? Or was it actually Boreal who...?

"Grandmother, where is Boreal?"

"He went to handle family affairs. He said..."

Elaine's words stopped abruptly.

Since marrying Gavin, Elaine had been well-protected, but that didn't mean she was unintelligent. Any woman Gavin would choose couldn't possibly be truly naive.

Elaine's complexion gradually turned deathly pale.

She trembled all over, wanting to cry but forcibly restraining herself.

Grasping Sean's hand, Elaine slowly stood up and said to him, "Sean, take me. Take your grandfather's body. We need to leave. We need to leave Bulstrode Manor."

"Grandmother, don't overthink this. Perhaps..."

"Sean, I'm usually unwilling to think, that's because your grandfather was there. I knew he could solve anything. But that doesn't mean I can't think. I'm not an idiot. So take us away, Sean."
