pc is very loyal plus her job is spinning shit so they can work around every scandal, so thatโs expected of her to have this reaction, whereas diane even tho she cares about bojack sheโd always advise him to be better (rehab) and be honest. i donโt think she sees their friendship as a punishment she cares about him as a person, theyโre both good friends just in very different ways
