Making Tombstones Part 1

Here are some photos of Rich's process for making all the tombstones for this year's Halloween set. If he figured out how to run the camera properly on his own, Rich also filmed some timelapse footage of this whole process that we'll post later (probably right before or after the episode comes out?). He starts with stencil guidelines he made on some magic computer program and then somehow transferred the stencils to black outlines on the actual foam board. None of this makes any sense to me. He then meticulously carved everything out with a special router device and then glued all the tombstones to their bases. Rich got sick for about a week in the middle of this whole process which brought all his work to a screeching halt. That meant he was running out of time before the actual shot and was working on these for something like 14 hours every day for several days in a row just to get them done in time!

Those are some PHD level Dremel skills on display. Kudos to Rich. They look AMAZING.

I assumed this was done with a CNC machine and not meticulously by hand with a Dremel. Sweet zombie Jesus does Rich do amazing work.
