Kate Gottli

Nick Kerr

Frazzled Doo

I called it back a few weeks ago, “footage of VanGelder pointing to footage of the zapruter films footage..Doo You See!? DO YOU SEE!?!

Frazzled Doo

That was a lot of fun. I always enjoy hearing you talk about filmmaking in general.

Smith

You mean Lee Harvey Oswald's CIA double. Lee Harvey Oswald was just the patsy.

Arch Friend

*reel

Neil Peart, Lord of Drums

I just realized that the sound of a reel being spun is not a memory I have. Even though I went to plenty of movies that had it. So...severe brain damage confirmed?

Neil Peart, Lord of Drums

"Not as bad as I thought" is the review that every ex-girlfriend gives me!

Neil Peart, Lord of Drums

Jay's soooo loud

Brian

Felt like a nerd version of the video from The Ring

Harrison Nichols

Happy New Years everyone!

CriscoDiscoDuck

The empty space part with the xs was cool

John G

This was a cozy addition to my evening reheated pancakes. Delightful video!

Joan Scott Brockie

The content of the reel pretty much summarises what Kurtzman knows of classic Star Trek.

Bill Wilson

We-hura

treyd

"They happened to be at CBS Studios" Desilu Studios! C'mon, Mike, you know better!

Daniel Frank

Is it weird that I feel the absence of the sound of a reel being spun and projected? It’s like the vhs recorded episode not having that horrible hiss over everything

Elizabeth Thompson

A fine activation that adds real value to my membership.

Corey

This was fun. Remember, there was a time that this B&W transfer from the original film would’ve been the highest fidelity image of Star Trek one could own. The over the air broadcasts were … 240p? And you can see the whole frame from which they trimmed it down. And I personally love seeing damaged film. So scratchy and satisfying.

Mark Fetherston

I love this. Thanks for enriching the universe.

Chris Woody

Operation can opener... I see you, Rich. I got it.

Will Sullivan

The logo on that tray is upside down and it makes me wanna claw my face off.

Jeff York

1000' mags are a typical length in film production (I know this isn't an actual camera mag) and that's the size of the reel Mike is holding.

Frameless

"Michael J. Pollard, he was in "Bonnie and Clyde..." Typical Jay and his obscure horseshit movies... the rest of the planet knows him as the rat catcher from "Split Second"!

Manuel Johnen

I am honored and humbled that you guys put out the ridiculous Dunkaccino blanket I sent your way. Verrrrry cool 😎

DemmyD

star trek analog horror

sacch

True! And the salt monster kinda led into that feeling!

Benjamin Forman IV

Who knew that they had Russia's kompromat on Trump in that reel?

Jash

"Not very exciting" Me being legit excited for a stupid black and white rehearsal take with no sound.

Carl Watkins

Assuming 24fps that’s like 90 feet of film a minute? So 900 feet of film? Neat.

Jeff Schneider

Yeah thats a relatively unremarkable result lol

Oompa-Loompa Pekkonen

Me-hura

heich (hey + ch)

it was about 10 minutes long so whatever that works out to

Red Letter Media

Yay Trek looking like a Twilight Zone episode!

Katy

Very cool footage to view with the fellow old guys. Also, Yoohura was always my favorite TOS character.

Dave Ruff

You-hura or my-hura?

Sarah Low

The footage is back And I saw a copy of Thunderpants VHS on a charity shop visit? Boy oh boy what a Friday.

aztectheater_employee

How many total feet of film was it?

Jeff Schneider

I could watch these guys watch star trek for hours. Happy new year
