2024-11-03 17:14:23 +0000 UTCThey were also one of the early (if not the first) practitioner of the season/show-wide storyline and things in each episode had consequence. If there was a big battle at the station in an episode, the next episode featured clean-up from that battle. My favorite example was there was an episode in Season 1 where a MacGuffin could magically cure people (at the cost of stealing "life force" from the machine-user). The cliffhanger for Season 1 was that the security chief got shot. Between seasons, fans posted "Why don't they just use the MacGuffin?" And by golly, they used the MacGuffin! (TNG, we'd never see the MacGuffin again)

She plays a tough, no-nonsense Earthforce commander. You hate her at first but then you get to understand her. It’s a fantastic show full of engaging characters and plot lines.
