A plastic petgirl

Here's a little something fun I wanna show you and get your thoughts on it: I started learning 3d printing^^

I talked about this in Discord before. I was asking for input from more experienced peeps and I got some good feedback. I want to print some cool figures (and other fun stuff) since I have some 3d modeling training, I think it could be fun!

I looked up and learned that for printing figures or minifigs or anything with more details, resin is the better choice and I was gonna go for one. But after looking up how to do that and how careful you must be to handle uncured resin (it's toxic) I was pretty sure I was gonna poison myself^^" Also, shoutout to Lyren who showed me some good miniatures printed with FDM!

Anyway, I went with an FDM printer for my first one: A Bambulab A-1 mini.

After messing around with some premade free stuff just to figure out how to print stuff, I brushed up on my rusty 3D modeling skill, figured out how to print your own obj files, and made this petgirl model and printed her out!

Font (The doggo in the back was the first thing I printed!)

Rear

It's not perfect. The first version was quite wonky (but successfully printed!) and she lost her ear in the process. There's a lot of clean-up work needed after printing and the model could have been better made (which I intend to work on), but it was really exciting!

I'll make sure this will not affect our regular pic/comic making and posting, but it's been fun so far^^ Let me know what you think! Any advice is welcome :)

In the meantime, here's the model file of the petgirl version 2! (The better looking one) I don't know if this is interesting to any of you or not, but here you go!
