In addition to all the positives Mike and Jay talk about re: Longlegs, I thought it was a fantastic and sincere exploration of trauma and f-ed up families. Maika Monroe was amazing.

Arcadia was interesting and stupid at the same time.

I generally disagree with Mike and Jay about their hatred of theaters but the crowd at the Regal Essex in NY was horrible for this one. It seemed like 30 people were getting up constantly to go to the bathroom and even get alcohol in the middle of the movie.

The movie was a sham, everyone had normal legs.

I think "Unrelentingly Grim" should be its own genre. No humor or light moments at all. Just a depressingly somber tone throughout. With it's matching dark cinematography on top of that, 'Longlegs' is a perfect example of this tonal genre.

Please can you talk about In a Violent Nature? Seems to have been review bombed and I can’t work out why.

Really enjoyed Longlegs, unfortunately the plot felt predictable at times. Cinematography and direction was immaculate, a real treat especially in a silent cinema with great sound. The black coats daughter/ February is my favourite from Oz /osgood (make your mind up mate) Perkins. Although I would like to see him focus his career in direction and have someone else take on the writing.
Saw ‘In a violent nature’ the following night and would like to hear what Mike and Jay think of it, an interesting take on the genre with some fantastic practical effects.

Jay and Mike please please put movie Kill on your half in the bag series. It's worth a watch. I think it is playing theatres in us. I joined patreon just to send this message 😂. I am not in any way affiliated with the movie. I just think it's a really crafty piece of work.

I really liked Arcadian! it's really nice that you have no clue what the monsters are doing, but they're doing lots of freaky stuff. but why? noone knows! and that's great! haven't seen Longlegs yet. Long Live Nic Cage!
