An interesting topic came up recently: worship.

What do you define worship as?

In this world, We have many opportunities for our focus. We were given free will. Worship or focus on anything or anyone besides God will always disappoint. I love this quote, because it has always been and always be a human tendency of all of us to misdirect our worship. We can choose, and God gave us the ability to renew our minds! Amazing!

β€œI need to worship because without it I can forget that I have a big God beside me and live in fear. I need to worship because without it I can forget his calling and begin to live in a spirit of self-preoccupation. I need to worship because without it I lose a sense of wonder and gratitude and plod through life with blinders on. I need worship because my natural tendency is toward self-reliance and stubborn independence.”—John Ortberg

I don't hate your answer! I do agree that we all can go overboard when our focus goes toward something that can't hold the weight of worship. As Jimjam said, when our spirit and heart (mind, will, emotions) are aligned with our Creator, we can live in total strength, healing and wellness. Unfortunately, our hearts often lead us away from the best for us and we can live with scattered focus! But, women definitely need strong men to lead, protect and care for us! Blessings to you, Corey!

Probably gonna hate my answer. But, I think men and women are different as far as worship is concerned..God gave man "Free reign" and, I do think we have a tendency to get caught up in other wordly forms of worship in the form of life long visions/business say Bill Gates and Microsoft Or Sam Walton and Walmart..One could argue an Albert Einstein or a Benjamin Franklin had so much Passion for what they were doing life long..ppl around them may argue it ended up in a form of objectivity..Being totally consumed..by or worshiping man or work..Alot of Men and women Through out the globe and over the centuries..Asia..Africa..even the Indians..had no knowledge of Jesus Christ as we know him as our personal Savior..They had all kinds of idol Gods.. Buy may have had some of the purest hearts..lived off the land and had all loving intent behind their actions....I am saying all that to say..I think True worship comes from the most sincere place in our hearts..no malice or ill intent not even .001%...With that being said..Some times men, as we take on the role of the ultimate protector and "seemingly - today" provider of the divine feminine, we find ourselves..going a little over board in our adoration..protection..and care..for it esp..in it's rareist most pure and blessed forms!!

Worship is the spirit that lives in you communing with God. We often link praise with worship, and think it is a musical event. Worship is an intense focused alignment of our heart and spirit with our loving fathers. It restores and heals us, it encourages and strengthens us, and it deepens our relationship.
