Good morning!

Scientists estimate the earth to be 4.5 billion years old. Some believe it has been 6-10,000. Either way, the earth has been around for a long time.

God’s faithfulness can be seen throughout the earth, throughout creation.

Sometimes when I feel overwhelmed, the quickest way to get my mind out of that feeling is to recognize that God is in control and has been for a LONG time. Some people might challenge that by saying it doesn’t look like He is in control with all the evil that is going on. However, given that there is a lot of evil, isn’t it remarkable that there is still good in the earth? Isn’t it amazing that people still want to help others, give, care and improve the earth and those living on it?

Yes, we have an enemy. One who has already been defeated and knows it. While he wreaks havoc in the world, we also can see the divine power of God at work in the continuation of babies being born, the tides coming and going, birds building nests, butterflies chasing my daughter :) People often unwittingly partner with the enemy in the destruction we see around us, but there is a more powerful force available and at work: God’s eternal and sovereign nature. Because HE is faithful, we can be sure of our faith and what we believe.
