EB02 Week 2 - Introduction
With EB02 now widely available, the One Piece TCG landscape is shifting rapidly. Week 2 brings a tightly contested field, where many decks are posting similar win rates, making this early meta both dynamic and unpredictable.
It’s still early days, which means the meta hasn’t solidified yet—there’s room for innovation, shifts, and sleeper decks to rise. But even now, we’re seeing a healthy, competitive environment where both fresh archetypes and veteran strategies can thrive.
🥇 Green/Purple Luffy – The Pace-Setter
G/P Luffy has quickly emerged as the frontrunner of the format, setting the tone for what’s shaping up to be a tempo-heavy meta. Built around efficient ramp, consistent draw power, and versatile sequencing, this deck offers both stability and high skill expression.
Pilots who can capitalize on tight decision-making will find G/P Luffy incredibly rewarding. It applies pressure early and scales well into the late game, boasting strong matchups across the board. Right now, this is the deck everyone’s prepping for—and with good reason.

🧪 Vegapunk – Quietly Climbing
Vegapunk continues its steady ascent, bolstered by EB02 additions that fill long-standing gaps in its consistency and draw engine. While not explosive, the deck excels at maintaining pressure and playing a balanced game across various matchups.
Its strength lies in how well it rewards patience and precision. Vegapunk may not dominate headlines, but it's carving out a solid niche in the upper meta thanks to its improved toolbox and versatile game plan.

🌿 Bonney – The Rock
Even with minimal direct support from EB02, Bonney holds its ground as a fundamentals-first deck. Players who prioritize clean sequencing, efficient plays, and consistent tempo will find Bonney a reliable pick in a chaotic meta.
In a field filled with volatility and big swings, Bonney remains calm and calculated. It doesn’t rely on flashy plays to win—it relies on doing the basics better than anyone else. A strong pick for pilots who value control through consistency.

🟥 Shanks – Adaptable and Proven
Shanks continues to demonstrate the value of flexibility and experience. Current builds are gravitating toward more control-centric setups, giving it better footing against dominant threats like G/P Luffy while preserving its core tempo strengths.
Still one of the most-played leaders, Shanks rewards deep format knowledge and skillful piloting. Its versatility and strong matchups make it a dependable choice for players looking to stay competitive across a wide meta.

🧠 Blackbeard (Teach) – Control Refined
Teach remains the control player’s dream—methodical, disruptive, and punishing to greedy lines. Its ability to slow the game down, chip away at resources, and maintain board presence over long turns makes it a strong pick for those who can pilot it patiently.
While it can struggle into fast ramp decks like G/P Luffy, Teach shines in slower matchups and against missteps. It’s not the flashiest deck in the room, but its grindy nature and tight windows of advantage make it a consistent contender.

🦾 Lucci – Making Adjustments
Lucci’s back on the radar after adapting to recent card pool changes. Despite the banlist hits, the deck has retooled its strategy and still leverages excellent board control and removal to stay in the conversation.
Crucially, it now boasts a strong showing against G/P Luffy, giving it a real edge in the current climate. Lucci’s return shows the resilience of solid archetypes when backed by thoughtful tech and strong fundamentals.

⚡ Enel – Evolving Playstyles
New additions in EB02, especially the latest Enel character card, have helped patch consistency issues that previously held the deck back. While Enel has always thrived in developing metas, its recent builds are pushing a more aggressive stance to capitalize on tempo swings.
We’re seeing a shift in how players approach the deck, with more leaning into pressure and early plays. It’s still in flux, but Enel’s adaptability makes it a serious wild card as players refine the build.

🎲 Red/Purple Luffy – Wildcard Returns
R/P Luffy is back in the meta mix and bringing its trademark unpredictability with it. Known for its ability to pivot between aggro and control mid-game, the deck remains a threat to any opponent who isn’t ready for its tempo swings.
While consistency is always a bit of a question, its potential ceiling makes it an exciting choice for high-skill pilots who like walking the line between chaos and control.

🚀 Green/Purple Lim – Still Solid
Lim continues to maintain a presence near the top of the standings. Its core gameplay—tempo development, adaptable control, and efficient board setups—remains unchanged and effective in the evolving format.
Though not always the flashiest, Lim performs well against a range of opponents and can capitalize on poor sequencing or misreads. It’s a solid pick for those looking for balance and board-centric play.

🔥 Red/Green Smoker – Holding Ground
Smoker rounds out the Week 2 rankings with a well-earned spot in the top 10. Its strength lies in its hybrid playstyle—able to press the board aggressively or slow things down with smart control turns.
What helps Smoker stand out right now is its favorable matchup into G/P Luffy, giving it real value in a meta that’s starting to centralize around the ramp leader. It’s a flexible, dependable option with plenty of tech space for tuning.

🧭 Looking Ahead
Decks are beginning to settle into their lanes, but the meta is far from solved. Tech decisions, counter picks, and evolving matchups will continue to shape the weeks ahead. Stay adaptable, know your lines, and keep experimenting—this format still has surprises waiting.
