New Feature! BE Grove Discord
Added 2021-06-15 00:14:21 +0000 UTCSome of you might remember a few months back I asked if folks around here would be interested in a discord server. A solid number of you indicated an interest in it, so I've finally got around to setting one up:
The BE Grove Discord (or if that doesn't work: Invite Link)
For those of you unfamiliar with discord, it is essentially a set of large-scale chat rooms that also allow for the posting and sharing of content.
I'm hoping to use it as a way to better communicate with you all, but also will periodically share some of the good stuff BE I've discovered in my searches over the years, and I hope you guys will use it to do the same!
Patreon has an integration with the platform so different tiers will get access to different channels:
Burgeoning Busts will get access to the basic chat rooms.
Sweater Stretchers will get access to almost all channels, including the content suggestion and media sharing ones.
Colossal Contributors will get access to all channels, including a special VIP-only lounge room.
The steps for existing patrons to get access can be found here.
It's early days and I expect some tweaking and a little while for it to take off, but I'm hoping it'll end up being a good place for the community to hang!

2024-05-27 21:11:29 +0000 UTCIt should in theory work automatically once you've connected your discord, however thanks for noting it - for the cases when it doesn't work I've updated that invite link, it shouldn't expire now.

2021-06-18 18:53:39 +0000 UTCA good number of people had the same experience. I honestly thought when it was integrated that people would be sent an invite, but after posting this and going back to the discord it was suddenly full of hundreds of people!

2021-06-15 17:34:17 +0000 UTCI have added an 'invite' link that will hopefully work for you. To be honest I'm not sure the first link is the right way to access it anyhow. It is working though, as many people who have discord connected to Patreon were automatically populated into it the moment it launched.
