SF6 Practice Mod Video

Hi guys, Here is a little surprise for you, a short video of the Juri practice mod in SF6. We never made a sparring costume for Juri so I thought I'll start with that theme but don't consider this some kind of final mod. It's just a practice mod using a theme I like. Now what I have figured out so far is that this engine's material system is very complex and there are tons of textures to edit if you want the mod to look good. It would have been a bit easier if we had some of the tools working properly but so far they aren't and lead to crashing the game. For example there are tools that allow you to add extra materials (a feature we never had in SFV) and can be extremely useful but those tools work fine for Resident Evil games not for SF6, anytime you add a new material in SF6 it just crash the game. Right now I am using whatever materials are availble in Juri's default costume but there are some issues with that too like you can't assign different textures to different materials because a set of materials use same texture files so anytime you edit one it affects all other materials in the set. In easy words SF6 doesn't have independent materials like SFV, they are connected to each other. I won't go too much into technical details but the summary is that don't expect complex costumes/mods very soon, I have made good progress and I'll keep making more but there are some limitations due to how this engine works. I hope we get better/updated tools that expand the potential of modding in SF6 and I think we will after the game will release and a bunch of interested people will jump on it. Anyway I hope you like this practice mod in action because hey who don't like Juri in a sexy outfit?Hi guys, Here is a little surprise for you, a short video of the Juri practice mod in SF6. Glad to see you making progress.

Thanks for the in game demo. It's looking good regardless of the restrictions.

It’s unfortunate to hear about the constraints but I’m confident with the games popularity we’ll get better modding tools to let your imagination be the only limitation. Great work so far, Brute!

Loving the update! If you're up for a "simple" request in the near future you may already know mine lol. Can't wait until you're ready for anything more than simple. Keep up the awesome work!

Even if its practice, I wouldn't mind using it at launch :3 *licks*
