Lol I will avoid doing conversions right now, like I said it's a partial release so I am adding more and also fixing some minor issues that I notice on the way but I am glad you managed to do the conversion, hope my reply was helpful :) As mentioned in my earlier reply, I sometime replace hair materials with new materials coming from other characters, now if the old material has a name "HairAlpha" and I am replacing it with a new one called "Hair" then the name will have to stay "Hair", I cannot make it "HairAlpha", in simple words a material with longer file name like "Trousers" can be renamed to a shorter name like "Pants" but a shorter name like "Pants" cannot be renamed to longer name like "Trousers". It's a limitation that we have maneuver around in order to make materials work.

So the good news is I have solved the issue.... bad news is you have issued a bugfix so I will have to do it again lol!! Anyway, First thx for your lengthy and helpful reply, it didn't give me the answer but knowing you had started from the C17 files steered me to it. Here is an image of the issue vs working file in c5 slot http://noelplum.synology.me/sfvchunli.png So the issue appears to be that three material files at C17 are E11_Hair1Accessories E12_Hair1, and E13_Hair1Alpha. In your mod Hair1 and Hair1Alpha are missing, or rather just renamed E12_Hair and E13_Hair. All fins thus far but in one of your files (not sure which, I put the entire pak in the hex editor) there are still references to E12_Hair1 and E12_Hair1Alpha which presumably point to nothing in slot C5 but on conversion to C17 point to the originals. I renamed these to Hair3 and Hair3Alpha and the hair is lookinh good again! Thought I should let you know though, just in case this causes another issue anywhere else

Cont... You need to check some of the hair material files manually in hex editor and see if they got converted properly, some texture file names are different in this mod because I ran out of texture slots so I had to name them like COLOX_09 instead of COLOR_09 so those references might be causing issues with conversion, those need to be fixed manually in hex editor. Last but not the least I am not sure why her hairs are getting long, I made new bones for her ponytail hairstyle and I make new bones in pretty much every mod to animate new items but the conversions work fine. Once again I think it has something to do with C17, try converting it a slot below C10 and see if it works fine?

Honestly I avoid conversions over C10, every time I try to convert anything over C10 I face some issues and I am pretty sure I do things correctly. But I'll share what I know, first of all the reason you see same material files for my mod and C17 is because the mod is original based on her C17, her C17 has some of best materials available so I converted her C17 to C5 and then I made the mod on that so it's basically all C17 stuff converted to C5. The reason so you some of the material files having different size is because I switch original materials with other materials, specially for hairs because I need different kind of transparency effects for different hairstyles so I test different materials from several characters and then pick the ones that works best. Her hair color is fixed actually it's not customizable so I am not sure why part of her hairs are getting dark tone when you convert the mod to C17, maybe one of the material file is not getting converted properly. Thank you so much buddy! I am glad you liked it.

Wow wow wow, the details in the leggings blew my mind right from the character selection! The attention to details is what makes your mods stand out Brutal. Well done!

PS: it is clear the light black on the fringe is clearly the intended colour (I am viewing it on the overly lit sagat stage) and the deeper black elsewhere is the issue

Don't know if you have any insight here. Am having a hard time getting the C17 (training) slot conversion to work. Everything is 100% fine apart from her hair, which turns a mixture of light black on the fringe and darker black (most of the rest) and also gets longer! When I look at the original material files for that slot (C17) they are eerily closely named to your mod (and same number of files, 18) and as this is the only error I am seeing i wonder if your mod is linking one of the original files when added to that slot? The orig slot, btw, has 5mb files for hair1 and hair1alpha as well as hair2 and hair2 alpha whereas yours only has 5mb files for hair2 and hair2alpha. Wondered if you had any clues or insight as to what may be happening?
