(Tutorial) How to use a DIY kit?

Hi guys, From time to time I get questions from users that a DIY kit is not working as intended or they don't know how to use it so I have created a short video tutorial on how to use it using the recent Sakura String Bikini mod, a DIY kit should work exactly as shown in this video, if for some reason it's not working like this then there is something wrong with it or you're not using it correctly, if there is something wrong with it then please let me know and I'll fix it but first check this tutorial out and see if it helps you. NOTE: Some mods do come with slot conversions such that they are available on C1, C2, C3 etc, for such mods you'll see multiple folders inside the REQUIRED folder, you need to pick the right slot folder in order for the DIY kit to work so for example if you're using the PAK file that is created on C1 then use "For C1" folder in REQUIRED folder, do not use other folders as your modified PAK file will show no changes due to wrong files being used. Hope this tutorial helps. BrutalAce

i followed this tutorial its not working lol i run the pack and nothing happens

Which mod you're using?

BrutalAce

When I run unpak it does not creat a StreeFighter folder. Any help is apprciated.

Thank you! I do want to make more tutorials including modding ones but I just don't find enough time to do it unfortunately.

I usually mention if two kits are not compatible with each other but most of them can be combined, an example of two kits that are not compatible are wet and oily looks, they both use same files to achieve those effects so only one can be activated at a time. If you try to use both together then the last kit you'll use will overwrite the first one.

BrutalAce

Thanks! Yes I know it overwrites the existing PAK file but it does it so fast that a new user might not realize what exactly happened (at least during the video) so I deleted it to make sure they know that the pack process created a new one, that's why I also mentioned that it's optional.

BrutalAce

You can but that is a waste of time. Just add both the kits to the unpacked files then re-pack it, no need to unpack it, add one, pack it, unpack it again, add the other then pack it yet again!

I like when you do tutorials, almost as much as mods releases. Stuff like this really shows the value of the membership to your content. Keep up the good work.

Can you take the new PAK file that is created and use it in another DIY kit to have multiple changes? For example, in Cammy's Monokini can you use a DIY to remove the glasses, then also have oily skin?

One thing to add. You don't need to delete the pack file before you go to pack the newly updated STREETFIGHTERV folder. It'll update. I see the file size in the folder's list view change from the original size to zero, then back to the new normal size again. ;) Great tutorial. ^^v
