a magical girl outfit for Sara
Added 2023-09-15 02:09:10 +0000 UTCA friend of mine pledged to the new Gold tier to support my original work, and just told me to draw one of my babies, so I decided to just go with whatever inspiration struck me!
I have been watching Cardcaptor Sakura again recently, and remembering how much I adored CLAMP's art style for CCS, the manga illustrations in particular. As a kid, I copied the style so much, and I always dreamed of being able to draw like that. I wanted to take that inspiration and draw more things in a similar style to the one that inspired me so much back in the day! So I designed a new outfit for my character Sara that is loosely inspired by the kind of outfits Sakura would wear.
Pink and ruffles and fluff and ribbons just makes me so happy. π₯Ί I think it's a lot more saturated and fairy kei-ish than many of the CCS outfits, but I really enjoyed making this and I definitely want to do more π If you'd like to see more characters in this style, let me know! I'd love to hear what you all think.
