I wanted to make a post letting you know how I'm doing and what I've been up to work-wise, since I haven't been posting as frequently as I want to lately!
I ended up with some dry periods without any new artwork that I could post because I've been working on some currently private projects that are very time intensive. One of them is completed, but another one is ongoing; I'm making another Vtuber model commission this summer! I'm very excited to have this opportunity again and I hope this one turns out better than ever, because I'm still learning a lot about this particular craft. I'd like to show some in-progress shots when I have the opportunity (if my client wants me to) because the process is very different than a normal illustration!
I also had some life-related delays in July because of another big heatwave in Washington - I moved to a different part of the state this year that gets hotter summers on average, but the heatwave pushed it even higher and we were struggling to keep our indoor temperatures down enough to work. It was getting up to almost 90 degrees inside and I was feeling pretty sick from the heat. That lasted about a week. This month is supposed to have more higher than normal temps too, but not quite as high. I'm a person who is very sensitive to the heat, so I can't wait til summer's over so I can feel like I'm back to my normal life. （；´д｀）
I'm looking forward to getting back to a normal schedule and having more artwork to share! I hope you all are healthy and safe and avoiding the worst of the weather lately. 🙏

I'm here while my husband attends college and we'll definitely be moving back once he's done. orz Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy a bit of the snow in exchange for the summers lol Thanks so much for your kind words! But, and I think I say this every single time, you're one of the most prolific artists I've seen and every piece is always gorgeous, so please don't feel like you owe people new art on any particular schedule, because I think you've made enough lovely stuff to last a century. :D Stay well (and hydrated) though!

I'd rather be bummed for a while about not seeing much art from you and see more later than have you burn yourself out so I get more now but you end up quitting earlier or needing to take a long, full stop break. Be good to yourself as best you can!
