work/life updates!

Hey all! Thank you all so much for your incredible support. <3 There's a big chunk of new patrons from this month too - I really appreciate you & hope you enjoy the art for a long time to come. :D

Since this month and next month are going to be super busy, I wanted to let you all know what's going on in advance. It's mostly good stuff; I'll be getting top surgery on June 2nd! This is very short notice due to my surgeon's schedule not being available til very recently, and the 2nd was the only time available. It should work out just fine, but of course it'll complicate some things when it comes to my job.

I'm very excited about getting the surgery, although recovery will be rough for me because I have chronic back pain and will have to wear a binder 24/7 for a while afterwards. I also won't be able to work for up to 3-4 weeks afterwards to allow for proper healing, although I'm hoping it'll be less. I don't have to lift my arms that high to draw, so if all goes well I hope to be back to drawing within 2 weeks or so. Overall, though, I won't be able to make much art for the month of June. 

My main goal for May is to complete as many commissions as possible in my current queue so that things don't have to be postponed. In the event that something does need to be postponed, I'll be contacting clients individually, so don't worry if you're in the queue right now!

I also have a very large project ongoing that I'm aiming to complete before June, which is another reason I haven't had a ton of artwork to share with you all recently -- I'm looking forward to being able to show it to you all, though. :D

Because of all the things going on, I'll only be able to complete the bonus colored sketch illustration for this month, and will be skipping the doodle poll for now. I'll be sure to make it up to you guys as soon as I can! I would like to turn a couple of the runner-up prompts into doodles when I have time next, because there's so many great ideas.
