Black and White
Added 2020-12-08 20:00:00 +0000 UTCI have been making bondage drawings from a fairly early age. In the beginning therefore I had to use the least expensive materials I could find. So I began working in pencil, and sometimes colored pencils. This was a long way before I discovered the airbrush. In between, however, I started to use Rohtring pens (now known under the name Micron I think) These were sets of pens that ranked from a very thin line up to a five times broader one. I developed a cross-hatch style that enabled me to suggest different shades of grey (pun intended). And worked like that until, through the works of Bishop, I encountered the airbrush.
Now lately an old friend of mine commented on that older work, which made me go back and have a look at those pieces again, and that triggered something in me. I decided to pick up where I had left off decades ago, and to start working in pen and ink once more (aside from my usual color work), and now I thoroughly enjoy it.
