Man woke up on a teusday, learned grim reapers and demons exist. Gets powers, learns his sword got a spirit and a demon lives in him. That all happened over summer break. Him not having some grand goal other than keep my family and friends safe is 100% legit. Him thinking he has any control over anything but that would lead to tragedy.
