Little big ladies
Added 2023-08-26 18:12:06 +0000 UTCthere was a bit of interest in this race, the Midin, so i tried to get more certain about their colors, build, and features
naturally, completely neglected to work on clothes and buildings and such because that's hard and i like drawing naked ladies more
- live in colder climates like the taiga, steppes, and arctic. they have paler skin to help with living there (and chosen by popular demand!)
- culture revolves around felling trees for lumber, hunting/fishing larger creatures, and then trading whatever they don't end up using
- there are some that make use of their strength and take up mining (just to fill that trope with their dwarfish physique) but their horns arent great for going into narrow spaces. if theyre truly dedicated to the job, they may remove as much of their horns as they can, which can then also be traded and used for crafts
- they're a bit sturdier than they look, which is already plenty sturdy looking, and their skin seems to develop slightly tougher and darker patches in response to abuse
- because of that, you can tell what jobs they might do or if they walk a lot but also leads to funny situations where you can tell what kinks people may have
- due to how dangerous their lives are between the climate and creatures, there is a strong sense of community and warmth between them and any visitors they receive
still lots of details to iron out, but i hope theyre interesting and unique enough to stand on their own

You really have a talent for writing as well as artwork and creating these fantasy races. I loved the excerpt about Midins' horns not being great for enclosed mining tunnels and some removing their horns as dedication and for trade. Dark patches on her skin + walking funny means she takes roughness such a hilarious fact. It's easy to see that you put your soul and skill into the lore and that makes it all the better! Any visitor welcomed into that community is fortunate that's for sure.
