Future History of the 21st Century

So, about a month ago I made a video roasting political scientist George Friedman for his zany geopolitical predictions of the coming century, which include Turkey, Japan, and Poland becoming great powers. A bunch of people requested I make my own predictions. So, here it is: this is What Why How, and that’s what the video’s about.

If you like this sort of thing, why not subscribe?

Okay, so I’m not as accomplished as George Friedman, but I think part of the reason why he makes such outlandish predictions is his overconfidence. So instead of going wild with extrapolations and constructing some sort of Tom Clancy thriller where China or Russia takes over the world and America splits apart into civil war…. Let’s look at the data, look at the trends, look at how history went, and see what the future holds. Now, obviously, the details of this video might turn out to be wrong. But hopefully, if someone looks back at this video a century from now, they’ll say, “Well, that wasn’t so bad.”

This is incredible! Will you ever release a part 2

Help Africa

Thanks! Not sure on part 2, it may take some time and I may release it later as a full 2024-2100 abridged version. And yep -- polyamory

Hi

Love the vid. When will the second vid come out. Also, do you mean polyamory instead of polygamy? I don’t think democrats would approve of one man multiple wives.

Good point

Hi

Thanks!

Hi

Well overall that was a very interesting (and long) script. I don't necessarily agree with all of it, but nonetheless, I found parts like where you talk about future generations to be very cool.

Also, I'd reason that an earlier date could be used as the starting year for the Second War: 2004, specifically due to that being the year the Orange Revolution occured and began the shift of Ukraine away from Russia, which led to Russian paranoia growing

Great point and a great parallel

Hi

In my humble opinion, I think in the future people will think of 9/11 the same way we think of the USS Maine today, with Bush's war in Iraq being remembered like McKinley's War in the Philippines.
